With wind rarely a factor around the local reefs, taking a sunset snorkel is a wonderful time to investigate the pristine coral reefs, and discover what comes to life as evening sets in.
The house reef, with its steep slope, wall and overhangs, is accessible directly off the beach in front of the resort, including a seagrass bed and healthy reef top right off the beach. Wakatobi's house reef is one of the best in the world, with a colourful wall and a shallow drop-off - a rich environment for all kinds of beautiful, unique creatures.
Finish your snorkel listening to the jacks hunting and splashing from the jetty, before settling in for the night and getting ready to do it all again tomorrow.
