We are proud to present our annual summer issue of Dive Pacific magazine. You’ll notice that this year Dive Pacific has undergone a design refresh, and we’ve also added some new sections including recipe ideas for your catch, our pick of the best marine-related books, information and updates on training options, a new gear section and a business directory so you know where to buy any additions to your dive kit and fill your tanks this summer!

In this issue, we have some exciting features covering some of the hottest local and international dive spots. Highlights include the Indonesian dive resort of Wakatobi, located in the remote southeastern region of Sulawesi. This resort is the ultimate in casual luxury and the coral reefs offer spectacular diving for both snorkelers and scuba divers.

Our guest writer Judy Ormandy shares her favourite New Zealand dive locations, ranging from historic wrecks to vibrant reefs teeming with unique marine life.  These spots reflect the diversity and beauty of New Zealand's underwater world. Niue is leading the way in ocean sustainability, we look at what this small island nation is doing and why it's getting recognised internationally for this work.

We also take a look at what's new in the world of diving, meet some inspirational instructors from around the South Pacific and of course, there’s plenty of ideas for you when you’re planning your next trip.

As always, we enjoy hearing about your own adventures, favourite destinations and ideas; email us on editor@divepacific.co.nz if you have anything dive-related you’d like to share with us.
